This timely session will focus on past and current litigation occurring in several states where plaintiffs are seeking to establish a class action to recover payment of interest or earnings on unclaimed property while in the custody of the state. Legal experts will share their insights and experience in defending these unrelenting attacks on the constitutional foundation of our unclaimed property statutes while addressing possible merit to certain aspects of claims for individual property types such as stock and dividends.
