This session will explore the geopolitical circumstances leading to climate change and some of the policy options for reducing risk. It will include a discussion of how rapidly developing countries are demanding greater amounts of energy and the long-term prospects for current supplies.

State Treasurers are responding to the challenges posed by climate change with innovative solutions, including bonds to fund clean energy technology, shareholder action, and identification of opportunities to capitalize on emerging, environmentally friendly industries.
