Travel Information
Colonial Williamsburg is easily accessible
from three airports. The closest airport to the Williamsburg
Lodge is Newport News-Williamsburg (PHF), which is 20 minutes
away and served by Air Tran, Delta Connection, Frontier and US
Airways. The Richmond International Airport (RIC) is 45 minutes
away from the hotel and is served by AirTran, American,
Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, United and US Airway. Depending
upon the traffic from the naval base, the Norfolk International
Airport (ORF) is one hour or more from the hotel; it is served
by American, Continental, Delta, Southwest and US Airways.
Ground transportation to Colonial
Williamsburg is available daily from all three airports and
includes the major rental car companies. Taxi service costs
approximately $40 one way from Newport News-Williamsburg, $120
from Richmond and $100 from Norfolk. Other available ground

Driving Directions
From Washington, D.C./Richmond: follow I-95
South. Take the left exit off I-95 South to I-295 South toward
Norfolk and Williamsburg. Follow the signs to I-64 East toward
Norfolk and Williamsburg. From I-64 take Exit 238 (Camp
Peary/Colonial Williamsburg). Turn at the stop sign onto Route
143. Go through the first stoplight and turn right at the second
stoplight onto Route 132 (becomes Henry Street). Remain on Route
132/Henry Street until reaching the stoplight at the
intersection with Francis Street. Turn left onto Francis. Turn
right at South England Street. The main entrance to the Lodge is
in the circle on the right.
From Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Newport News:
follow I-64 West. Take Exit 242A (route 199) toward
Williamsburg/Busch Gardens/Jamestown. Take the exit for Route
60. At the stop sign at the bottom of the exit, turn left onto
Route 60. Remain on Route 60 to the first stoplight and turn
left onto Francis Street. Continue one more block and turn left
onto South England Street. The main entrance to the Lodge is in
the circle on the right.
Attire
Business casual attire is
appropriate for all conference sessions and social events. The
average temperature at Williamsburg for this time of year ranges
from a high of 84 to a low of 63 degrees with humidity levels
near 80. Be sure to bring a light sweater or other wrap for
air-conditioned meeting rooms.
