Teleconference

 3:30—5:00 p.m. EST

Topics to be covered include:

  • What does the CPO do?

  • How does one use the CPO?

  • What are the technical filing requirements?

  • Can I use the CPO now?

On July 8, 2004, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the State Debt Management Network will conduct a teleconference on the new central post office facility developed by the Muni Council. Late last year, the Muni Council selected the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas (Texas MAC) to operate a new centralized disclosure filing system. Texas MAC has recently opened beta testing of its Central Post Office to all municipal market participants. The CPO is expected to serve as a one-stop filing place for issuers’ secondary market disclosure documents and to improve the way the documents have been indexed at the existing nationally recognized municipal securities information repositories (NRMSIRs) and state information depositories (SIDs). To date, Texas MAC has been performing limited testing with a select subgroup of issuers.

SDMN President Mary Margaret Collier and Dan Black, Executive Director of Texas MAC will lead the discussion of the new disclosure system.

There are a limited number of slots available for the call, so we ask that you register to ensure adequate spots for everyone wishing to participate. To register for this SDMN Teleconference, please reply to SDMN via email to callen@csg.org or call (202) 624-8595. Registrations must be received by July 7, 2004. The call-in number, pass code and background materials will be provided to you prior to the call.
